This coming Sunday at the Block Street Party you can make your own paperbag puppet at our booth. Look for the Art Experience sign. There will be a parade at 1:30 with a couple of giant puppets and around 2pm you can see and partipate in a puppet show called ” the Adventures of Rocky and Jojo”- with Jo Ann Asa and Aura. Brandi Hoofnagle with be performing her puppet show ” Hansel and Gretel, the Real Story”
This spring we finished puppet workshops with kids in the afterschool programs at Washington School where I was there as the Artist in Education.
Tthe Walnut Farm Montessori School’s art classes finished up with silk painting, batik, and papermaking.
The Ford fellows at Spring International finished their rod puppets and masks and will perform them next week at their going away party.
The Pathfinders teen art group is finishing up their mask project and will be ready to have more people join. After trying a week day we have settled back down to a Saturday time. 12 to 2pm.
The Masks for Change personal growth group is in process now.
Puppet Camp will be on June 20 to 24th with a performance at the Farmers Market on the 25th.
